I took a special interest in Media Law and was accepted into the exclusive course of Entertainment Finance, where I completed at the top of my class. In my last semester, I held two leadership positions as a co-director for the department film festival and the music editor on a student-led independent film incubator in post-production. With my background in music, I was able to finish top of my class in the Music for Film class, which led to assisting as a music editor on an independent short film a professor was hired as the composer. Projects include analyzing representation of diverse relationship dynamics in film, ethnic representation in a hispanic-based true story, ethics of child labor laws in entertainment industry, examining the synergy of music in film, cinematography, and utilizing the editing software Pro Tools and Adobe Premiere Pro.

Coursework included Color and Design, Three-Dimensional Design, and Art History, providing a strong foundation in artistic principles and technical proficiency. Advanced classes such as Figure Drawing, Painting, and Photography refined creative skills and explored diverse artistic techniques. The interdisciplinary Liberal Arts program further developed critical thinking, communication, and adaptability across artistic disciplines. This well-rounded education prepared for creative careers and facilitated a seamless transfer to a CSU for further studies in the arts.

Coursework includes research papers exploring alternative building methods/materials, Engineer Design and Architectural Design courses utilizing the software AutoCad for 3D design, OSHA-30 certification for health and safety standards on a job site, designing and making furniture independently, proficiently using common wood shop equipment and power tools, proficiently using common hand tools, building custom cabinet systems for use in the project house, courses in codes and layout, and building the project house from an empty lot to a sellable product in the course of two semesters, including foundation, concrete work, framing, roofing, door/window installation, siding, and finish work. Ending product was then sold at market value using a real estate agent. Over the two year degree, two project houses are executed with different foundation styles, a perimeter foundation and a slab foundation. Additional certification includes advanced courses of cabinetmaking, furniture restoration, and custom millwork/trim production for use in the project house.
